Too Busy For Love - Another Day, Another Drag

Drag Season Continues... Today was spent, in drag, handing out condoms for LA Condom and Get Prep LA with Chita Parol (Ray Garcia).  So while I'm too busy to have sex, I'm helping those who do!  Let's face it, it's real nice to do stuff that helps people, (like giving away free condoms and providing information on PReP & PeP,)

and there are a lot of fun and interesting people all around

...the best part is seeing all the hotties and refilling my overdrawn spank bank!

Another great part of the day was finishing our condom duties and heading out to dinner at Bossa Nova, and running into a couple of friends

Too Busy For Love - Drag Season 2017

Drag season is upon us, again!  I'd love to go see that movie with the cars on a submarine with you and talk about it as we bask in the afterglow and guilt of sex, but I'm too busy!!

Tonight, My friends Geoffy and Bossman and I are going to the Mark Taper Forum to see a play!

If I can trust a co-worker, ARCHDUKE will be a fun time.  

But I can't stay out late!  I have to get up early, apply some slap, slip on a dress and get to Ru Paul's Dragcon 2017!

I'll be handing out free condoms and talking about PrEP (if I read that info they sent me) on Saturday and Sunday.

Then, the weekend after, I'm doing color commentary for the Drag Queen World Series.

This year it's the West Hollywood Cheerleaders Vs The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence!

Actually, every year it's the West Hollywood Cheerleaders Vs The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, but it's for charity, so Yay, teams!

Then a mere three nights later, I will be appearing in a Cabaret as Reba Areba.

May 9th, I join Mimi von Schack on stage at the Casita Del Campo, doing a little song and very little dance.  Julianne St Germaine's show will be a fun time!!

Then before I know it, I'll be rehearsing and performing in Chico's Angels new Variety Hour, which turns out to be a live "clip show" (You know, like when sit-coms ran out of ideas and did, "Remember when..." + clip as an episode?  This is that, but with us performing numbers from our previous shows) but don't fret, there's a few surprises in there, too!

So, while it would be nice for us to grab a coffee and I tell you all about my New York adventure, I'm too busy for love!

Too Busy For Love - Drag Season In Full Swing

I'd love to go with you to see those super heroes fight each other while we make out in the back row of the theater, but I'm too busy!  Tonight I'm going to see muh DAB Terry's play, ELECTRICITY with muh DABs, David & Alejandro.

Then, I gotta go directly home and get some sleep because I have to wake up early, slap on some slap, put on a dress and scurry over to the L.A. Convention Center for Ru Paul's Drag Con 2016.

I'll be in the L.A. Condoms booth handing our condoms and PRep Pops! (I'm fairly certain that I am kidding about the PReP Pops...)  As you may recall, I was part of the free condoms campaign that included print & video PSAs.

I'll be doing this tomorrow (1pm- 5pm) and Sunday (2pm - 4pm).  Maybe there'll be some social events thrown in the mix, too!

Next weekend, I'll be doing colorful commentary for the DRAG QUEEN WORLD SERIES, a benefit for Life Group LA.

As you may recall, I did this last year and had a blast!

Gay of A Certain Age - It's Harder When They're Free

So, one time, (it may not have been this past Friday, but it really happened!) I was all neked with this hot guy and I was all excited to be with him, I even took a little blue pill to make sure everything would be up to snuff.  He made me dinner and excited.  Then we talked for a little bit, then  got down to ass tacks.  We nakified each other, rolled around with the kissing & such and then we came to the moment of "going all the way".  That's when it hit me, we need to have THE TALK.  We were going to have to stop our tumbling into positions to discuss; condoms or no.  Granted, we prolly should have taken care of the neg or poz talk during our post dinner/pre-rolling neked chat, but we didn't and here we were.  This hottie was not a stranger to me, but he was still new. We discussed whether we would or not, got into a mini-discussion on PrEP usage and how a lot of folk are using it instead of condoms, rather than with condoms as a second layer of protection.  That got us into a mini-talk about recent case of the guy on PrEP who became positive.  While were talking, in my head I was all, "OF COURSE you're going to use condoms- you did a butt load of PSAs about condom usage! Don't be a hypocrite!"  Even with my voice yelling in my head, I must confess that in my limited sexual encounters, I have not always used a condom, but in those cases there had been The Talk about it and the decision was reached mutually.
One particular issue I had been dealing with was the whole erectile dysfunction thing and how much a condom contributed to it.  Meanwhile, back in bed with the neked hottie, we voted condoms "yes!"  After all, I had taken a pill for the Erectile Dysfunction, so that wasn't a worry.  On to rolling around neked, we went!

As a Gay of A Certain Age, I certainly know the consequences of contracting HIV & AIDS and the importance of using condoms.  I also am delighted that on this recent occasion, The Talk did nothing to diminish the mood.  In fact it boosted it some, because I was more free to enjoy myself without the worry or guilt that comes with not using a condom and more so, I was way turned on because I was with a guy who I could talk freely about my history without feeling judged and because he spoke freely in return and cared about what I wanted.  That's hot!
